Pupil Premium
The Government allocates funding to schools to support raising attainment for specific groups of children. These groups include children eligible for Free School Meals now or at any point in the previous 6 years, children who have a parent in the armed forces or at any point in the last 4 years and children who are in care.
How are we using the Pupil Premium to make a difference?

Sports Premium
Please see the attached document outlining how the PE sport funding is spent here at Woodlands, and the impact this has on our pupils.
Here at Woodlands, we recognise the importance of an active an healthy lifestyle and we are passionate about raising the profile of sport and PE across the school, to encourage lifelong participation in physical activity and sport. This year we have been awarded the Bronze School Games Mark, of which we are extremely proud!
We aim to encourage all pupils to participate in regular sporting and PE activity, offering a wide variety of these to all children. There are a good selection of afterschool cubs taking place throughout the school year with an opportunity to take part in interschool competitions. Make sure you join up early as many of these are filled extremely quickly due to their popularity. Our pupils have competed in many events over the last year and were successful in qualifying for the Telford Winter Games. In addition to this, there are opportunities to play competitive sport at lunchtime and our Year 5 pupils run the Jumping Jaxx programme of games too.
