The Great Fire of London Art.

To support our learning of The Great Fire of London, we have been developing a range of art techniques by using colour, pattern and texture to express our thoughts and creativity. We achieved this by layering a range of coloured tissue paper to create the image of a burning inferno. We then uses lines and shape to create wooden houses in the style of 1666.

Dear parents,

In view of the homework letter that was sent to parents last week, we have amended our homework days.

Homework will be set on a FRIDAY and will need to be returned the following THURSDAY.

Homework will always be spellings (from the current unit)

Maths  (relating to our weekly work or times tables)

Reading (at least once a week to an adult who records this in children’s reading diaries).

Reading & Homework

Just a polite reminder that homework goes out on a Monday and is due back in on a Friday. The homework the children receive will consist of some spellings and a Maths piece of homework linked to their work in Maths that week. Children will also have a spelling test on Friday morning.

Also, please try and ensure you read with your child and comment in their diary at least once a week. This can be a few pages of their current book as it really helps to build their reading fluency and confidence in reading. We do really appreciate your support.
