Year 4 Homework

This is a reminder about homework in Year 4.

We give homework out on a Friday. This homework consists of one piece of literacy, one piece of numeracy and reading.

The literacy homework could be spellings from our spelling unit, SPAG or reading comprehension based.

The numeracy homework could be times tables or based on our learning in class.

Children bring home a reading diary and book each night. For each reading signature in their diary a reading raffle ticket will be awarded. At the end of each term a name is picked out from each class to win a book token.

Homework Reminder

This is a reminder about when homework is set and due-in in Year 4.

We give maths and spellings homework out on a Friday which is due in the following Thursday. This gives all children a week and weekend to complete it and time to ask an adult in school if any problems are encountered.

We also expect children to read at home during the week and have their reading diary signed.

If homework (including a reading signature) has not been handed in on the Thursday the children will do this on Friday break time.

Thank you

Mrs Whiteley and Mrs Shedden
