FRIENDS OF WOODLANDS SUCCESSFUL APPLICATION FOR FUNDING FROM VEOLIA

I am pleased to inform you that we have been successful in our EnviroGrant application. Friends of Woodlands Primary and Nursery School have been awarded a grant of £880 for the ‘Growing Together Garden’ project which will be on the school playground.

Our focus is emotional and social well being for both the school and community around us.  The £880 will allow us to bring to fruition plans that the children have been developing and discussing during pupil voice, and class circle time sessions.  The ‘Growing Together Garden’ will be a much needed area of serenity on our busy playground.

We are pleased to announce FOW are in a position to finance the umbrella shade children have requested.  The School Council have organised a whole school vote to choose the colour of the umbrella.  Results will be announced soon!  The shade will be used as a cover for the garden so it can be used throughout the year.

If you would like to volunteer to support the ‘Growing Together Garden’ project please contact Lynn Bailey on 01952 386070
