Y5 Curriculum Framework Overview UPDATED July 2023
PE Kit.
Please make sure your child brings a PE kit every week. When it is colder they will need layers to keep warm.
Your child needs to bring:
- Black Tracksuit bottoms/shorts
- White plain t-shirt
- A plain hoodie (black, green or grey) or normal school jumper
- Trainers or plimsolls
Homework
Children will be given weekly homework on a Friday. This will always consist of reading, spellings and a maths based activity. Children are required to return the completed homework on the following Friday
Reading.
It is important for children to read with an adult every day. Please try to make time to read with your child at home, sharing a bed time story is a perfect opportunity to encourage an enjoyment of books and for your child to show off their reading skills.
We will try to read with your children as often as possible. Please make sure your child brings their reading diary every day so that we can hear about all the books you share at home!
