January’s update

This month Year 5 have been learning about Victorian Shropshire, concentrating on our local area of Madeley.

The children went on a local historical walk identifying places of interest related to the 9 men of Madeley mining disaster.

During Maths we have looked at squared and cubed numbers using resources to help us visually represent the numbers.

We had a visitor come in to school (PCSO Jolly) who chatted to us about knife crime. The dangers and implications of holding a bladed article and what to do if you find your selves in a threatening situation.
