After the holiday we will be moving on to a new topic called Great and ghastly events. We will look at famous world events like the sinking of the titanic, the great fire of London and the first moon landing. Before we look at these world events we want to look at our own significant events. We will start by thinking about ‘our first day at school’. Please spend some time chatting to your child about what you both remember about this very

special day. If you have photos of them please share them and if you can send copies in for us to look at. Don’t forget to talk about what they were wearing, what friends they made, how they felt and if they cried.
