Today was our class assembly about Democracy. During the assembly, we discussed what democracy is and how it applies to our country. However, we explained that it hasn’t always been like that and Women were not allowed to vote. Then, the main focus of our assembly was about the suffragette movement – in particular Emmeline Pankhurst and Emily Davison.

We enjoyed creating it and we hope that the parents and KS2 children enjoyed it.
