Reading at Home

Your child will bring home their reading book and reading record each day. As part of their homework children will need to complete at least one read at home that should be recorded in their reading diary.

When writing in the reading diary could you ask your child one of the AF questions (that have been stuck in the front of the diary) and record their answer. For example

AF3 – Dan was able to tell me that Jack was feeling upset because it said in the book he was crying.

AF4 – Dan was able to tell me the subtitles tell you what the next section of information is about.
