Reception News Autumn 2, Week 3

What a great week in Reception! The children have been busy learning all of the songs and practicing for the upcoming nativity performance. During our Mathematics sessions, we have been practising identifying the properties of circle and triangle shapes. Children have noticed similarities and differences between different types of triangle shapes.

The ‘Favourite Five’ story next week will be ‘One Snowy Night’ by Nick Butterworth which links to our learning about seasonal change as we move into the winter months and approach Christmas.

Song of the week

Children are learning the songs from the Nativity. This week, the children are learning the makaton actions for Twinkle Twinkle.
