Reception News- Spring 2, Week 3

What a busy and full week we have had in Reception! Children continued carefully watching how our Ducklings grew and changed, made predictions about what they might look like at different stages of their lives and represented their thoughts and ideas through observational drawings and paintings.

Educators also introduced children to Gothic style architecture in the block area and children have been describing and contrasting different features in comparison to castles we have been looking at around the world.

Our ‘favourite five’ book for next week will be ‘On The Way Home’ by Gillian Murphy

Our song of the week for next week will be ‘Hot Cross Buns’

Reception Project-

Children will be learning all about the chronology of our own lives and how we change over time. Children had lots of fun looking at different baby pictures of the teachers, guessing who they were and looking at how they had changed over time. This could be continued at home by looking at family or baby photos to see how people have changed.
