Reception update for week 5!

Hi everyone,

It’s been another week filled with learning in Reception!

During project time, the children have been exploring a range of ideas and concepts including: changes the children notice in the natural environment as spring approaches, how to keep healthy and the human digestive system, and comparing the anatomy and habitats of snails and crabs. In their adult-led learning, Reception have been developing their knowledge about comparing numbers and using the language ‘same’, ‘more’ and ‘less/fewer.

Here is some key information to support your child’s learning next week.

Our focus story will be ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ by Michael Rosen and illustrated by Helen Oxbury

Our focus song will be ‘Five Little Speckled Frogs’.
