In Science, we have been exploring separating mixtures.
We thought of different ways that we could scientifcally separate mixtures of: sand and water, salt and water, raisins and flour, and paper clips and rice.
We used: filtering, sieving, magnetic attraction and evaporation.
Further exploration of separation was set in the context of a problem, where we had to use our understanding to help separate other materials. We had to work in teams to see who could end up with the clearest water (which was a real challenge)!
