Spellings – Unit 5 and 6

We are currently working on unit 5 and unit 6 in our spelling programme. Here are the spellings you will need to remember.

Unit 5 – Suffixes

In unit 5, we discovered how some suffixes we may need to swap, double or drop letter to make a new word. For example:    happy + ly = happily

Unit 6 – The sh sound spelt ti or ci

In unit 6, we have started to look at syllables and when it is appropriate to use ti or ci as the sh sound. For example:     mis  + direct + ion = misdirection
