Staying safe online

In year 1 we read the story ‘Chicken Clicking’ and shared our thinking about what chicken was doing online. We noticed that the chicken was not thinking carefully about what they were doing and the information they were sharing.

To support our understanding we watched a Smart Safety video about how to stay safe online and discussed the importance of keeping information private, talking to adults when we are uncomfortable and being kind online as classes.

The children then created a do and don’t poster so that they could remember the important rules to help us stay safe online.
