Today the year 5/6 football team took part in the Crossbar Cup at TCAT. The team performance today was exemplary with outstanding efforts and skills from all 6 players.
We drew a closely fought match against Lightmoor which included a cracking penalty save from our keeper, as well as scoring a terrific goal to equalize. The team continued to play at a high standard and rchly deserved to qualify for the ‘Plate Play-off’
After qualifying, we went on to finish in a 3rd place! We were especially impressed with how our team picked themselves up having lost to Coleham
School ,who scored their winner in the last 3 seconds of the match! Undeterred, our team put in a tremendous performance against Newdale and won 2 -0, finishing in a thoroughly well-earned third place.
Each team player contributed 100% in every game played and we are incredibly proud of them all.
