This week we will be learning about:
Guided Reading: We are reading ‘Down the Rabbit Hole from Alice in Wonderland’ by Lewis Carroll. The learning will be comprehension questions, dictionary work, thesaurus work and word class work.
Literacy: For the first half of this week, we will be continuing our non-chronological report on the Titanic focusing on a colon to introduce a list, bullet points, modal verbs, adverbs of possibility and subordinating clauses. To conclude the week, we will be completing a SPaG test and revising some key spelling rules.
Maths: We will be finding missing angles on straight lines, around a point, in triangles and in quadrilaterals, concluding the week with an arithmetic on Friday.
In the afternoons, we are: finding out about internet ‘critters’ (the index of the World Wide Web), considering the negative impacts drugs, alcohol and smoking can have on the human body, and concluding our Science unit with a fun escape room to encapsulate our knowledge. In addition to this, we have PE on Tuesday as usual and our class catch up call/Golden Time on Friday.
