Year 1’s remote learning wb 11.1.21

Last week we had some amazing learning done at home and in school by the children in year 1. We are excited to see what you produce this week!

This week  we will be learning about:

Guided reading – we will be sharing our individual reading books and talking about the events with a grown up. Children are to log on to Oxford Owl using our class log on to access a selection of Read Write Inc book bag books. Please click on the link below and ask your child’s class teacher for their log in details if needed via Class dojos

Phonics – We are asking children to practise the relevant speed sound for their phonics groups. They are then to read their phonics storybook before completing 2 hold a sentences, proofreading and editing a sentence and producing a piece of writing linked to their text. Children are to see their individual phonics class dojo page for their learning.

Maths: In maths we will be focussing on addition and subtraction with numbers up to 30. The children will be asked to work through 4 levels each day – each level is slightly more challenging! We will also be finding out about fact families and testing out our problem solving skills.

Project: We are will be continuing to discuss and share our thinking about our bodies and which is the most important part. The children will be asked to research and share their thinking through drawing, writing, painting and even construction.

We will be posting daily learning (PowerPoints, videos, website links)  on Class Dojos.
