Year 3’s December Learning

This month, we have enjoyed a visit out to Ironbridge as part of Geographical work into the local area. We looked at the River Severn and drew a sketch map and labelled the human and physical features.

In our Literacy work, we then wrote a setting description about the River Severn using sensory details, appropriate adjectives and correct punctuation.

As part of our Numeracy learning, we have enjoyed creating our own tally, pictograms and bar graphs using given data and also collecting our own.

As part of our Design and Technology work we have planned and created our own Christmas tree decoration from felt. We reviewed existing Christmas decorations and then designed and stitched on our decorations, before stuffing it and sewing it up!
