Year 3’s March Learning

Since returning to school on Monday 8th March, we have settled back into school well. We started off the first week by taking part in some team games with our classmates and discussing our experiences of lockdown.

In Maths, we have been learning about money and time. We have been learning how to make the same amounts in different ways and calculating change. Last week, we recapped o’clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to and have moved on to telling the time in 5-minute intervals.

In Literacy, we have been reading the text ‘Ug, boy genius of the Stone Age’ and looked at the text and the vocabulary used. We have written a letter to Ug telling him all about life today and how life has improved vastly since the Stone Age.

In Science, we have continued our work on forces, looking specifically at magnets and magnetism. We have also begun to look at the history of music as well as learning the Spanish names for numbers and colours! As you can see, we have been very busy.

We wish you a happy Easter break and look forward to your return on Monday 19th April.
