Year 4 Remote Learning W.C 1.3.21

I hope that you have all had a lovely weekend and manged to make the most of the glorious weather we have had.

Please see our weekly overview below:

Daily planning will be posted throughout the school day on our Class dojo pages so remember to check regularly.

This week in literacy, we will be using our descriptive writing skills to write a character description of the character description Merlin from our class story ‘King Arthur’. We will be focusing on using expanded noun phrases, similes and making high level vocabulary choices to make our writing more interesting.

In maths this week, we will be finishing our work of the short, written method for multiplication and then moving onto the formal division written bus stop method for division, with no remainders.

In our foundation subjects, we will be focusing on rhythm, pulse and dynamics through body percussion and song. For computing, we will be recognising how network devices make up the internet and connect via routers.

As well as all of this, we will also be celebrating world book day on Thursday in school and at home. On Thursday, we will be inviting you to share your world book day clues via a TEAMs meeting (more details to follow). Then on Friday, we have a virtual visit from an Author as well as completing other World Book Day activities.
