This week the children have had a fun and exciting design and technology week. We had a variety of challenges – from making paper hold a book to building structures that would survive an earthquake!

The final Challenge was to use our knowledge, skills and understanding to create a chair out of newspapers that the teacher had to sit on. We had to use teamwork to share ideas for our final design.

Today, we got to make it  and test its strength. We tested it with a child in our group first and then, if it survived, the teacher tested it! We used this experience to evaluate and suggest modifications for future improvements.
