Year 3 work (W/E 05.02.2021)

Wow, what a week!

We have had a great week in Year 3 learning about conjunctions that express time in literacy. We have thought about the position of the conjunction in a sentence and manipulated it to show it can be used in the middle as well as the beginning.

In maths, we have learnt how to measure accurately in cm and mm. We created rules to follow as we measure, such as always starting at 0 and making sure our ruler is straight. The children at home have sent us some lovely examples of what they have measured too, including toy cars and even chocolate!

As part of our computing, Mrs Whiteley’s class have been exploring how to use a paint programme to create an image. We used Van Gogh’s ‘Starry Night’ and Purple Mash to replicate the image. Mrs Thompson’s class have used a range of media to create their own version on paper. Here are some of our masterpieces from school and home.

On Friday we did some work based on Children’s Mental Health. Here are some pictures we created to explain what each part of our body is feeling. We could draw, use colours or write words to express ourselves and show what we were feeling.
